Experienced & Committed to Your School District

I’m Jill Brady – candidate for election to the Shoreline School Board, Position No. 2.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my campaign. I’m grateful for your interest and support.

My husband and I have deep roots in this community; he is a Shorecrest graduate and we moved to Lake Forest Park 22 years ago. When we had our children, I started volunteering in the Shoreline Public Schools community and have done so ever since. After going through Lake Forest Park and Ridgecrest Elementary Schools and Kellogg Middle School, we now have a recent graduate and a junior at Shorecrest High School. We are proud to be a part of a community that values the Shoreline Public Schools and the education of our youth. Our community consistently passes bonds and levies, parental involvement is strong, and student achievement is a priority.

I have over 13 years of hands-on experience bringing parents, teachers, administrators and community members together to ensure all children have the best access to learning. My extensive experience includes 6 years as Trustee and Co-President of the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation, member of four successful bond/levy campaigns, and participation on multiple school district committees. I also have been a longtime PTA officer and leader throughout elementary, middle and high school. I have seen first-hand the importance of strong community engagement, and I have gained insight and connection to nearly every aspect of our our school district. The combination of my extensive work in these varied aspects of public education, along with a degree in Business from the University of Washington, makes me uniquely qualified to be an informed and effective school board member.

If elected, I will:

- Ensure strong financial stewardship as we build 4 new schools that will serve students now and into the future.

- Provide steady leadership to ensure a smooth transition moving 6th grade to middle school.

- Be inclusive, demanding that our school district be equitable and accessible for all students, paying particular attention to new programs for Special Education, Highly Capable and Equity & Family Engagement.

- Continue to advocate for a fully funded education system.

- Continue building partnerships to ensure all students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for them future.

Children are our future and we must work together to ensure the best educational outcomes and experiences for every student while also meeting the needs and opportunities of our changing world. As our district prepares to build new schools and grow in numbers, I am prepared to engage in our community, provide exceptional financial stewardship, and prioritize continued accessibility and transparency.

Students, families and staff in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park deserve experience and proven commitment. It would be my privilege to serve as your School Board Director for the Shoreline School District.

Thank you for your support!
